Shruti Singh – East coast Delhi

Shruti Singh’s The East Coast Desi combines Indian-inspired decor with a touch of global influences. Apart from decor ideas Shruti also features stores and decor shops across the globe. Traditional family recipes and her experiences with decor designers have given her a global audience.

I first came across Thenmozhi’s insta page @inspireddecorart when she had tagged me in a post where she had so honestly written about being inspired by TECD to create vignettes in her beautiful home. In a time where ideas, images and hardwork of others is very conveniently plagiarized, I found it refreshing that she had taken the trouble to mention the source of her inspiration. That made me conclude what a beautiful and honest soul she is and her home is a reflection of that. This vibrant corner from her home is a collage of her various DIY projects that she’s created over time seeking inspiration from various creative accounts here on insta – Some of them being @desi_diy_divyakandala , @architect_dipa_desai, @trovecraftindia. The detailed doorframe, circular wall decor and the marapachi doll frame are all what Thenmozhi has brought to life with her brush strokes. I’m loving the eclectic mix of things that make this space so unique and eye catching.
