That’s an interesting update that may change the way we interact on social media. So, let’s take a look at these exciting new features and updates on our favourite social media platforms.

Facebook’s Live Shopping Fridays

The live shopping feature on Facebook allows you to see product demos live, ask your doubts and questions about it and then buy it from the live itself. It’s an interesting feature that combines the experience of online shopping with live videos.

Facebook started its Live Shopping Fridays in the third week of May. This is planned for every Friday till July 16 in collaboration with some creators and fashion and beauty brands like Abercrombie & Fitch and Bobbi Brown Cosmetics. It’s a great way for these brands to showcase their products and encourage their customers to buy them. You can find the complete list here.

Insights for Instagram’s Reels and Live

This is a feature that all the creators and brands were looking forward to. Reels and Live are some of the most engaging features of the platform. But the lack of measurable insights was always a pain point for the creators and brands. Now, that problem has been solved.

Instagram has rolled out insights for its Reels and Live feature which gives you access to data like reach, engagement etc. This will definitely see more brands adopting these platforms for their campaigns and communication.

LinkedIn’s New Marketing Features

LinkedIn is one of the best platforms for B2B marketing and its new marketing features will now enable brands influencers to use it for better results.

This includes access to the boost feature directly from your LinkedIn page, a new ad format called Event Ads which will allow you to promote your event with access to its analytics, and, custom streaming feature which will allow you to live stream on LinkedIn via Zoom, WebEx, OBS and soon, Microsoft Team.

All of these platform updates ensure that the experience of the creators and brands with their audiences is more enriching and seamless. It gives more control to these creators and brands to understand their audience and deliver the kind of experience they are looking for.
