Digital video content saw a sharp increase in 2020 due to the need for more entertainment and information during the lockdown. Indian content creators, with limited production resources, did a great job at keeping us engaged from the comfort of our homes. Here’s a shoutout to a few creators we loved:
Ashish Chanchlani
Ashish was one of the earliest Indian influencers to make it big on the digital medium, and he has been able to stand up to the expectations of his audience by creating relatable yet unimaginably hilarious content.
Kusha Kapila
Every brand’s favorite influencer, Kusha, and her characters have taken Instagram by storm. She has also beautifully managed to raise awareness about body positivity and she is one of the most authentic influencers one could find on Instagram.
Siddharth Batra
His make-up and grooming content has been a game-changer for Indians. He has single-handedly managed to fight the stigma around men and make-up and is such a pleasure to watch while we scroll our Instagram.
Karthik Srinivasan
His comments and analysis of the latest advertisements sure can force one to think differently. We suggest everyone follow him and make his content a part of your everyday social media routine for all the wisdom he gives away in a very snackable format.
Colgate and Dabur join Idhayam in pulling Indians to oil pulling!
Wonderful read: "The answer to the question of why India didn’t develop cheese, then, is simply that we didn’t need to". We make fresh curd at home everyday and aim to get our favorite texture and taste. So I totally get it when Vikram talks about Indians' love for yogurt. pic.twitter.com/Wmcs7RQ11e — Karthik (@beastoftraal) January 3, 2021
Kunal Shah
A true quipster, he displays wit like none other. He dabbles in workplace-related topics and has made LinkedIn scroll more entertaining for us.
Komal Pandey:
There is no way we talk about influencers and not mention Komal Pandey. She is chic, she is contemporary and she’s a stunner! Follow her on Instagram for an unmatchable fashion spot.
Yashraj Mukhate
If social media is a cooker, he is chane. His humorous and musical content made him an instant favorite and got the audience waiting for his mixes, one after the other.
Dolly Singh
Her fashion and style game has always been on-point, but what stole the show for us was her educating her audiences on mental health issues. We stan this queen!
Sanjyot Keer
He is an Indian Chef who makes drool-worthy food videos every day. What really adds to his videos is the quality of the cinematography that makes it even more enjoyable to watch.
Melvin Louis
He is a passionate dancer who introduces his own kind of dance style in all his YouTube videos. His moves will make you move even if you have never danced in your life.
Bruised Passports
Savi and Vid, a couple who has traveled 96 countries together have wonderfully showcased their travel journey and how they look at the world through tiny rose-tinted glasses. Hop onto their social media handles to seek travel inspiration for your next holiday!
